Nothing Like A Chevy Conversion Van

I remember growing up in the deep south, during a time when most families couldn’t even afford a bicycle let alone a conversion van.

So it came as quite a shock to my brothers and sisters and I, when our father walked in one day with a set of keys to a brand new conversion van.

I can still recall the first time he took us on our first trip to Walt Disney World in it. What a fantastic journey filled with memories I’ll soon not forget. We had just arrived to the park’s car lot when we realized it was time for lunch. Thankfully, we had a mini-fridge on board our conversion van which meant bringing along a great lunch for everyone was no problem. And having the ability to simply open up the back doors and sit down with everyone in quasi-picnic area was a dream.

Although it’s been years since I took a ride in my father’s conversion van for the first time, I still get a rush of nostalgia whenever I see when.

And it always brings a smile too my face.
